My trip to Vietnam, by Gloria Sanniu

I want tell you about my first travel outside Europe: last year my boyfriend and I went to Vietnam. We flew from Barcelona to Saigon, we took 2 flights; finally we spent two nights in a small hotel where our room had a fantastic view of the city.
The first night we went out and we drank great local beer that Vietnamese people call BIA and we ate typical food: it was delicious. I am now addicted to spring rolls and to PHO, a typical soup with vegetables, pork and noodles.
We planned out trip on the road; we booked some tours with locals to see the most important things, we walked solo around the cities and we tried to know all about traditions and culture.
We stayed in Saigon, the capital; then we flew to Hoi-An, a pretty tiny city with a precious historical centre; we enjoyed beautiful beaches and took some rest. Finally we took a bus to Hue in the Middle East coast of Vietnam.
Our last days we took another fly to Hanoi and we went to Halong-Bay, and we did a cruise in a paradisiac bay. We visited Hanoi and before our return to Spain we went to Sapa. It is a place in the mountains where locals live in small villages. They live basically from growing rice. During two nights we slept in a homestay with different people from Australia, England or Canada and without many amenities. It was a beautiful experience and we learnt a lot of things from them.
After 20 days of travel we came back to Barcelona with goods feelings and planning our next trip
